September 2006 - The Batfink Before Christmas Announced

After the success of Batfink's Midsummer Nightmare at The Hubs in July,
we've decided to go one better to celebrate the festive season and
run another big event there but with the addition of 4 top UK Goth bands
- details on the main page!

August 2006 - Batfink Loses Home!

Due to changes at the Sheffield Hallam University Student Union
Batfink will no longer be held at Bar Phoenix.
- thanks to them for their brilliant support over the last few months!

December 2005 - Batfink Moves Home!

Due to Club Aqua being taken over by The Last Laugh Comedy Club we're on
the move again. Thankfully the lovely peeps at the Sheffield Hallam University Student Union have offered us a place at Bar Phoenix
- that means cheap bar prices, obviously!

December 2004 - Finkmas!

The Batfink Christmas celebrations will kick off on Friday 3rd at 10pm and we are making plans for Santa to be there to give you pressies.

November 2004 - Second room returns

Batfink on the 5th of November will see the reopening of Room 2 but with a difference!

As we try and listen to all you lovely peeps and keep you all happy, Room 2 will not just be room of beep and grr. We will try and guarantee that if the main room is playing a genre you aren't keen on, the small room will be playing a different style. e.g. If the main room is beepy, the small room will be trad and so on.

October 2004 - Fink goes on

We have secured a further extension to our contract with Aqua so will be there every first Friday of the month until at least February!

October 2004 - Permanently reduced RockSock entry

The discount for RockSoc card holders will be a permanent thing so membership means £4 entry to Fink from now on instead of the usual £5.

October 2004 - Batfink presents: Goth School Disco

BATFINK'S faculty are joined this month by a substitute member of staff, Lee Chaos, as they bring class back up to speed after the summer holidays. Mr Chaos has a distinguished career teaching music at Judder High, engineering at Chaos Engine Technology College and Apiculture for those on day release courses from the Wasp Factory.

Attendance is a requirement for graduation; detentions will be handed out for misbehaviour while merit prizes will be given to those in the smartest uniform. We will also be playing hosts to guests from Cackle's Academy, Hogwarts and Sunnydale High so please make them feel welcome, unless they try and turn you into a rat.
